Description
This is the case that holds my Gaming PC together. I got the white version in 2026 to replace my old Kolink case, and it was something I had to buy more out of necessity than anything else.
What I had before was a closed loop AIO from Aerocool cooling the processor, plus a set of separate fans from the same brand for the rest of the components. The pump wasn't very good and it wasn't enough to cool everything, and after a certain amount of time I ended up burning my power supply because it got too hot. I got lucky and didn't burn any of the other components. After all that trouble and having to replace the PSU, I looked at my build properly and saw that the case was way too small for what was inside it, the fans couldn't keep up, and the heat was getting trapped in there instead of actually going anywhere. I had to replace the cooler too, and the Peerless Assassin didn't fit the old case, so I took the chance and got a newer one, bigger, with more features and with room for more fans if I ever need them.
It's all metal, it comes with a strip of addressable LEDs from the factory, and it has a digital display on the left side, right below the big glass window, that shows the temperature and the usage of both the CPU and the GPU while the machine is running. The display is an HID device. DeepCool's own software for it is Windows only, but on Linux there's a community port that reads the sensors from the kernel's hwmon and sends HID reports to the device through /dev/hidraw, which needs a udev rule to run without root.
Impressions
It's an excellent case. It's white, which is a bit different from the rest of my components because they're all black, and for some reason every white part is more expensive than the black one. That's a big problem. Other than that it's pretty discreet, there's nothing absurd about it.
The digital display was one of the main reasons I bought this case and it's the feature I liked the most.
It's also very easy to maintain, because it's big and it has perfect little spaces for each thing. There are places for the HDD, places for the SSD, places for the graphics card, and the case even comes with a piece of metal with a small rubber tip to hold the graphics card up when it's hanging, so it doesn't twist. It's very well thought out and very well designed, and I'd say it's one of the best cases I've seen in this price range.
Honestly there's not much more to worry about, it's basically a case. I think it's going to last forever, since it's completely made of metal with no plastic or anything like that. Another thing that's pretty cool is that the glass part attaches with a magnet, so even though there is a screw, I don't need it to hold that panel in place.
