Description
The current default keyboard on my work setup.
The UT98 is a different story from the Ace 68. I was actually looking for a keyboard to replace the Adam, because its keys had gone bad, and that's when I swapped the Keychron for this one. So the Adam went to the work PC and the Q3, which was on the work PC, went to the gaming PC.
I was going to buy another Q3 Max, but I decided to vary a bit and went looking for interesting keyboards, and I found this one on Kickstarter. I didn't even go after it much, I got an email and heard them talking about this keyboard.
The big difference for me is that it's a 100% keyboard that's still small, with no wasted space. It has a numpad, but the arrows sit further to the left and the function keys, Insert, Delete and so on, are packed in a bit tighter too. It has a knob in the middle for volume and other things you can program, though I only use it for volume. It works with a dongle, over Bluetooth or on the cable.
Impressions
I liked it a lot. It has a really nice little sound and a really nice feel to it, and it comes with a fairly light switch. Being a silent switch it still feels a bit too heavy, even while being lighter than the Ace. I used it for a long time with the original switch and recently I replaced them with Gateron Clears, which are much lighter at 35 g, though it does lose a bit of the sound it had, which was characteristic.
It was an excellent keyboard to take places, because it's very quiet, and the fact that it's small and still has the numpad is very good too. I also liked the build a lot. It's plastic, but it's very well built and it feels a lot more resistant than that.
